Miami Civic Music Association

Miami Civic Music Association was founded in Miami in 1932 with Charles H. Crandon as its first president. For many years Civic was the only arts organization in Miami dedicated to presenting the great performing artists of the time. Some of the great musicians brought to Miami by Civic include Sergei Rachmaninoff, Jascha Heifetz and Arthur Rubinstein.

We are proud to continue this tradition, and we are grateful to Charles Crandon and the early members of Civic for helping to establish the vibrant cultural arts community that we have today in Miami-Dade County.
