WHO'S WHO
AMONG SOUTH FLORIDA ARTISTS

South Florida Symphony Orchestra

The South Florida Symphony was established under the visionary leadership of Maestra Sebrina Maria Alfonso. Starting in Key West, she created a concept which allowed a small, but cultured community, to enjoy the privilege of a first class symphony. Under her leadership, the Symphony performed in and became a part of the community through involvement with Youth Education, the Young Artist Training Program, Master Classes, and by providing concerts and venues filled with gifted musicians.

In 2008, an expansion project was put into motion to allow more people to experience these talented artists. Today, the Symphony has become part of the South Florida cultural landscape and has concerts in Key West, Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach.

The South Florida Symphony is proud to bring some of the finest classical musicians from around the world to each of our concert series. Our audiences will enjoy the magic of Korean superstar Chee-Yun, enrapturing solo violinist Lara St. John, enchanting Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition Winner Barry Douglas, and one of the world’s leading young trios – the SIMA Trio. We round out this fantastic cast of musicians with the final concert series of the season featuring the prodigal pianist, Adam Golka.
