Delray String Quartet

Hailed as a 'World-Class String Quartet" by Sharon McDaniel of the Palm Beach Post, the Delray String Quartet brings together internationally known musicians including first violinist Mei Mei Luo, second violinist Tomas Cotik, violist Richard Fleischman, and cellist Claudio JaffÃ©.

Founded out of the collapse of the Florida Philharmonic, the Quartet has grown from a single series in Delray Beach, to an 18 concert season with events in Naples, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, and Coconut Grove.

Managed by Don Thompson, who was co-producer of The Fantasticks, the longest running musical of all time, the Quartet issued its first CD in 2009, a recording of two works by Dvorak with renowned pianist Tao Lin, and will record its next release this summer.

Informal and educational discussions of the music and the composers by Richard Fleischman and Claudio Jaffe are incorporated in each performance, providing the audience with a rich experience.
